A bright pink, naturally sweet, and tangy summer drink made with fresh watermelon, real lemon juice, sugar, and ice. This thirst-quenching beverage tastes like sunshine in a glass!

  • Total Time: 15
  • Yield: 8 servings (8 oz each) 1x

Ingredients

Scale

24 oz seedless watermelon flesh (cubed, rind removed)
3 large lemons (peeled, quartered, pith and seeds removed)
10 oz water
3 to 4 oz granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
10 ice cubes (plus extra for serving)
Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Cube watermelon flesh and set aside.
Juice lemons to collect fresh lemon juice.
In a blender, combine watermelon, lemon juice, water, and sugar. Blend on high until smooth.
Add ice cubes to the blender and pulse until the mixture is slushie-like (or stir into a pitcher with ice for a more traditional consistency).
Strain through a fine mesh sieve if desired for a smoother texture.
Chill until ready to serve. Garnish with mint leaves and additional ice.

Notes

Use ripe, deep-red watermelon for the sweetest flavor. Substitute honey or simple syrup for sugar if preferred. For a fizzy version, swap half the water with sparkling water.
Add a splash of lime juice or a pinch of salt to enhance flavors.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours (stir well before serving).
